About The Unknowns

The Unknowns

The Unknowns are a five-piece band whose music combines the sound of vintage jazz, blues and soul with a contemporary pop twist to create an upbeat and unforgettable sound. Featuring three-part vocal harmony backed by keyboard, guitar, ukulele, acoustic bass and drums, they approach original songs and timeless jazz standards with the same contemporary polish. Inspired by their love of R&B, Motown, and swing, their live performances showcase the band's exceptional musicianship and fun, irreverent attitude that wins over audiences.

The Unknowns are Kim Bowman (vocals and piano), Caitie Bowell (vocals and guitars), Allison Bowman (vocals and ukulele), Sarah yates (acoustic bass) and Melanie Sehman (drums).

Uncle Daddy and the King Tide

Washed ashore from across the sound, Anderson Island's Uncle Daddy and the King Tide brings with them a wave of classic outlaw covers. Their set draws from seven decades of country and rock, ranging from gritty bar twang to melodic ballads, and features tunes by icons such as Waylon, Willie and Dolly, plus contemporary artists including Gillian Welch, Cody Jinks, and Tyler Childers. The band is four distinct vocalists: Doug Emerick, Merilee Hawkins, Dana Stirn, and Joey Straub, backed by rippin' musicians: Chris Jupinka (G Street Players), Derek Harn (Himsa) and Jacob Anderson & Colin Richey (Hey Marseilles). A night out with Uncle Daddy is always one hell of a hootenanny."
